"Energy In Motion" by Jim Cypher aka Joey Daytona 8 half-hour multimedia performances Sat. June 23rd 2007 @ Third Life Studio in Union Square Somerville MA, 4-8pm - $3 per person. This project is funded in part by a grant from the Somerville Arts Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
Jim Cypher works under the name "Joey Daytona" as a DJ, VJ, artist and performer. On his Somerville Community Access TV show "Joey Daytona's World of Adventure" he created a 7 minute video and audio montage titled, "Energy In Motion" in November of 2006. Since then he has remixed and recontextualized the content layers to produce version 2.0 (15 minutes) and 3.0 (20 minutes). The live performance of this piece will be version 4.0 and will be 30 minutes looped 8 times for a total of 4 hours.
